- With the exception of Sundays in Lent, flowers may be given for Sunday worship on any Sunday of the year INCLUDING ADVENT.
The following dates in ADVENT are open: December 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th.
- No date will be held exclusively by one family or individual, thus dates may be shared by one, two or more families or individuals. When dates are shared the additional flowers will be placed on a pedestal in front of the pulpit and lectern. Flowers may also be placed on the Memorial Altar, in the Baptistery or in the Narthex. The alternative sites are only available if flowers have already been procured for the Main Altar.
- In addition to, or instead of, flowers – a family or individual may give the Ambry Candle (the candle that burns over the Reserved Sacrament) in memory of or in thanksgiving for a loved one. Ambry Candles are $5.00 each.
- Donors of flowers and ambry candles will be acknowledged in the Sunday liturgy sheet. The announcement will be as follows:
To the Glory of God
The flowers are given in memory of (or in thanksgiving for) ________ by _______,
and for_______ by ________. The Ambry Candle is given in
memory of (or thanksgiving for) _______ by _______,
and for _______ by_______.
We hope and pray that this policy will be beneficial to all concerned.
