Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.
Why Giving is Important
At Christ Church we believe that financial giving is multifaceted. We give for many reasons not the least of which is that our hearts are appreciative of God and all that he has done for us. And so, out of this gratefulness we give back to the "giver of all good things." We give also out of obedience. God desires to teach us his generosity and in order that we learn generosity we are obedient to God's command to give. We give because as human beings and as people of faith we recognize that giving shapes us and exercises our faith. We actually have a need to give. In the same way a mother needs to feed her infant, not just because the child needs nourishment, but she feeds to fulfill her natural instinct to nurture her child. In this sense giving is a spiritual bond God creates between himself and his children.
Annual Fund (or Annual Giving)
Christ Church encourages all members to participate in our annual pledging, at giving levels that reflect both your financial ability as well as your thankfulness for God's blessings. Your annual giving helps our Church succeed in its mission:To Worship, Evangelize, Educate, Fellowship and Serve
Ways to Give
Members and friends may contribute financially in many ways. Some fill out pledge cards; others leave their offering in the collection plate during Sunday or Wednesday services. Still others make special gift or memorial donations for various occasions. You are invited to speak with our Vestry members or clergy on what way may be best for you to contribute to Christ Church.
